Bad Comedians, Beware: 'Paid or Pain' 8/5 @ The Comedy Store

Have you ever wanted to physically hurt a bad comedian?

Actually, I haven't either, but maybe we're in the minority. Tomorrow night, The Comedy Store will present "Paid or Pain," a show subjecting professional joke-sters to the whims of a voting audience that has the ability to shower them with cash, or hand them over to a professional dominatrix. Bad comedians will be -- who knows, whipped and spanked? -- while good comedians will be paid.

The show is described on the Comedy Store's website as a "sociological comedy experiment." It's hosted by Josh Filipowski and Dominatrix Madame Regina Valle, and also features burlesque (because what good show doesn't these days?) by The Dollface Dames.

Tickets are $10 with a two drink minimum, and the show starts at 10:00 p.m.
